This exciting course will be held at The Premises Studios, which has been one of the capital’s most popular music studios for twenty-five years. It is hosted by The Premises Music Education Programme, a registered charity.

Legendary choir director Clive Brown will run the Gospel Vocal Workshop. He has led many British gospel choirs, and is most famously known for his collaborations with The Shekinah Singers, The First Born Youth Choir and United Voices In Praise. He is known for his outstanding energy and ability to motivate and lead and has worked successfully with people of all ages for many years.

Doing the course you will be working in a studio which has on its client list world famous artists such as Rhianna, Kelis, The London Community Gospel Choir, Leona Lewis and many, many more.

The workshop is open to beginners, intermediate and advanced singers. Using popular Gospel songs, participants will be put through their paces, learning all about vocal techniques, correct breathing, how to get the best out their voice, how to care for their voice, voice control, use of different vocal tones and dynamics, voice projection, harmony and unison singing.

On the day the workshop will be split into two parts. The first half will be the vocal workshop where you will learn all the skills you need to sing in a Gospel-based choir with friendly and like-minded people. This will then lead into a concert performance, which is an opportunity to demonstrate everything you have learnt from the day, in front of your friends, family and loved ones. It will be your chance to shine!
