THE PREMISES MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAMME

It's not widely known but we also have a music charity based here.

The Premises Music Education Programme has been running since 1996, with courses and workshops for musicians of all abilities. We ran the most successful New Deal For Musicians course in the country, giving the careers of Tom Baxter, Ali Love and others a head start.

The Charity also runs regular workshops - Women's Music Technology Workshop, Gospel Music Workshop and an annual Jazz Piano Workshop. We're currently working in partnership with Music Plus, the training arm of Urban Voice UK, to run apprenticeships in studio management.

The most recent group to complete the course were (pictured L-R below): Jerome Blake, Tutor Clive Brown, Nicole Elizabeth, Colin Collman and Sophie Lowe.
